Our Mission
New England Organics provides affordable recycling, product marketing and related waste management services to generators of large quantities of organic waste streams and other residuals. We continually adapt our business and methods to reflect changes in the market and technologies, while maintaining stable, mutually beneficial and long-term relationships with our most valuable resources: our customers, vendors and staff. We are dedicated, at all times, to conducting our business in an ethical and environmentally sound manner.

FiberClay™ is recycled at:

  • Hawk Ridge Compost Facility - RR 1 Box 1682, Reynolds Road, Unity, Maine 04988

  • Grasslands Compost Facility - 283 Smith Road, Chateaugay, New York

  • BioMix Sites - Various gravel pit reclamation sites, farms, and landfill closures.

What We Do - Who We Serve - How We Do It

Founded in 1983, with a dedication to environmental responsibility, New England Organics pioneered the development of organic waste recycling services throughout New England and New York, including transportation, land application, composting and product marketing. Our company’s professional staff specializes in residuals management of municipal biosolids, pulp & paper sludge or FiberClay™, and non-hazardous ash. We operate Hawk Ridge Compost Facility, the largest commercial biosolids and FiberClay™ composting facility in New England. Our company is the winner of several USEPA and Governor’s awards.

New England Organics utilizes FiberClay™ as an ingredient in its Earthlife® compost and soil products, which are marketed throughout New England for a variety of applications ranging from ball fields and golf courses to the closure of over 100 landfills.

FiberClay™ is also an ingredient in New England Organics’ BioMix® product, a superior erosion-resistant manufactured topsoil. BioMix® is well suited for reclamation of gravel mines and other sites where topsoil has been removed or degraded.

While operating with the vision and strategy of a products manufacturer, New England Organics recognizes the risks inherent in handling materials defined by regulatory agencies and legislation as “wastes”. We provide our waste generating clients with the assurance that their interests in risk minimization are protected.

Maine's Governor Angus King spreads Earthlife™ compost manufactured by New England Organics
from biosolids and FiberClay™ product at the Governor’s mansion.
